It begins as Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, but receives additional refinement when, after emerging fully matured from charred American white oak barrels, the whiskey makes a second pass through charcoal. The whiskey that emerges from the second mellowing still retains Jack Daniel’s distinctive flavor, but now is noted for its unmatched smooth, mellow finish.
